Christmas Coffee Catch Up.....

Keeping it simple is the key when I haven't stamped awhile.  I dug out this coffee cup stamp
from Stampin' Up!.  I think it is retired though cannot be sure.  I stamped two images and cut out the coffee cup band from the second image.

I ran the coffee cup band through a corrugated embossing folder, then used gathered twigs distress ink, and a water bottle to ink up the raised corrugated lines.
I cut the holly out on the cameo silhouette, highlighted with a white gel pen, added a twine bow and coloured the cup with copic markers.
I used a piece of designer paper from lemoncraft 6 x6 paper pad.

A merry winter....

I made a card,  its been sooo long, but was feeling inspired by all the gorgeous stamps coming to market now.  How could you not.  Scroll to the second picture to see just how awesome this gorgeous tree is.
I took some inspiration from the Just Add Ink challenge this week.  Hop on over and have a look.

I had to google how to use my blog, it has literally been that long, I forgot how to find the dashboard, very amusing!

How stunning is this stamp and die, all the little leaves pop up - happy sigh.  I added some sparkles to the tree that came with the Hero Art October kit for some bling.

Stamp Set:  Hero Arts October Kit.
Inks: distress ink Tim Holtz
cardstock:  Neenah white

Happy birthday Harry

Wow....
My son Harry turns 10 today, I can't believe he is in double digits, wherever did that time go.
Before me is a young man now, and we are so very proud of the person he is turning into, he is kind and helpful, applies himself fully at school, and is a gentleman - for that I give credit to my hubby, he has taught Harry this by demonstrating it himself daily.

My Harry loves Harry Potter as we all do in my family, so when a friend made a card recently with Harry Potter style digi stamps,  I had to have them ha ha ha.

So I have very limited copic markers it seems (sigh) so don't mind my colouring too much, I now have another list of colours to buy lol.  I am sure my son won't know the difference.

I wanted the card to look like Harry Potter was making a '10' spell in the forest!

An exciting new addition to the.....

BIG SHOT!

Bet you thought I was going to say a baby!   I am so past those days ha ha, but I did receive my sizzix big shot tool caddy by courier today (yes on a Saturday)

I Love it.  It is perfect for me.

This is how it comes out of the box. I have added the front sizzix plate holder.

The plate holder is extendable

There is a tape dispenser which I keep my 3m micropore tape in now.

See the extension on the front to hold all those plates etc - LOVE IT.
It also holds my scissors, pick, roller for those fiddly dies, pens, fine precision glue and still have space left on the right side next to the tape dispenser.

Side view with how it looks, Have added the little foam mat for rolling over the dies, and the magnetic platform, precision base plate, and ca still fit in two spare clear plates if I wish.

So thats it from me for today, I have some exciting products just come in that I have stumbled across lately so hopefully will be back to share some of them really soon.
Have a wonderful day.

Something Eastery.....

Is Eastery a word? lol, I doubt it.
I had a brief for 8 of these cards, it needed a basket with those 3 words on it - Love, faith and hope
It also had to hold a single gold Haighs chocolate Heart.
So where the gold heart is in the photo is where the lady has to glue her chocolate heart in.
I have used brushed gold cardstock from Stampin' up!

The oval dies make up the basket, the super cool scissors from Stampin Up also make the grass. I love those scissors.
The heart punch is from Stampin' up! also.
I did print the words hope and faith as I do not own dies of those words, but used the banners framelits from SU also to die cut them out.

All products except for the Love die and leaf Die are Stampin' Up!

Happy Easter everyone, and for those that are travelling please travel safely.

Dum Dum Der Dum.....

Don't you just love weddings?
When 2 people come together promising to share their lives, loves, hopes and dreams TOGETHER, it is a beautiful thing

Then comes the hard work lol, but the good thing about that is it ebbs and flows, sometimes its hard, sometimes its just about perfect, but truly, how can you ever appreciate the perfect if you don't experience some of the hard?

It makes us stronger, it makes us want to try a little harder to get that perfect back because really that is the best feeling in the world.

So today i thought I would share with you a wedding card, something simple and a little easy on the eye.

Its a little hard to see but those cute rings on the bow is die cut from brushed gold cardstock.

To all of you approaching your wedding, congratulations, to all those doing the hard, keep at it, it will be worth it, and to all those in the "perfect" enjoy your bliss

How cute is that pizza cutter?

Embellished Ornaments

Happy Saturday everyone, I hope your day has gotten off to a wonderful start.

Last night I held my monthly class and together my ladies made this card.
We used the new stamp set and matching framelits called Embellished Ornaments.  This set is from Stampin' Up!
Gold glimmer paper was used for the top layer of the ornament.
The word Merry was from the project life set called seasonal snapshot.
I love all the glimmery goodness of this card, and its not one that takes long to create either, though I did use the new sizzix precision plate to die cut the ornament making it so much simpler.

Have a great day everyone.

Happy World Cardmaking day!

Happy Cardmaking day to everyone the world over.

Wow, did everyone find time today to get at least one card in?

I managed a super quick one tonight and I mean super quick.

This one was made with my wonderful husband in mind, I like to send them to his workplace now and again :)

Edges of the white embossed layer, the circle diecut and the striped acorn have been sponged with  tip top taupe.

It may be hard to see, but I used circle framelits for the the circle cut out, once the larger size was cut out, I got the next sized circle down and laid it on top of the circle cutting side of framelit up (away from cardstock)  then ran it through big shot to give it an embossed inner circle image.

I used the new stamp set from Stampin' Up! called Acorny thank you.
It also has a coordinating punch which really makes this set super awesome as there is no fussy cutting, perfect for a quickie card.

Snow Way its Christmas already?

Ha ha ha such a cool sentiment isn't it?

Its from the Snow place stamp set from Stampin' Up!

A little bit of masking here to achieve this.

I CASED this card from HERE, its amazing how many talented people are out there and I love to take inspiration from them, even those that aren't Stampin' Up! This card was perfect so all I changed out were the stamps, the sentiment and the colour, oh and added some rhinestones here and there.

A WICKED birthday...

I am definitely a fan of Halloween, which is the minority in Australia I know, but I cant help but love getting together with friends, dressing up and enjoying a night of fun!
When I saw the new Howl - o - ween stamp set and matching dies in the catalogue I had to have it
But NOT for halloween
I saw the skull and bones for all things boys
I saw the hat - for all things Harry Potter/wizard etc
I saw a funky owl - you can never have too many owls
I saw the word BOO - for project life especially the early pages I still need to do of Harry.
I see the wand - for all things girly and wizardry.
The spider?  So many things most notably - anything spiderman.

So many uses for one set, and to be able to get matching dies so I didn't have to cut them all out was just icing on the cake lol.

New DSP also from the new holiday catalogue.

Check out that gorgeous black glimmer paper - OMG it is amazing and most perfect on a boys card like this one.

Frosty the Snowman...

I just love the new stamp set and matching framelit set "snow place" from Stampin' up!s new holiday catalogue.

I never usually make cards this small but I think I love this size, and I think I have just found the card I will make for my sons class this year, he is in a double class so will be needing a few this year.
I stamped the main image then restamped the image on scrap paper, hand cut it out and layered it on top of the original stamped image.  How cute is that new Christmas ribbon too?

Tags in a box...

This year I am determined to be super organised.
6 Tags done and dusted - woo hoo.
I made a little pocket to store them all in using the new pillowbox die from Stampin' Up!

I just cut the top off once I had the two sides glued together, then decorated to match the tags.

A Little gold foil behind these trees! Peaceful pines stamp set and matching dies were used on these tags.
I have left a little blank space for scrawling the recipients name.
Gorgeous new ribbon too.  The joy disc is a stamp used from the new seasonal snapshot 2015 project life stamp set.

The DSP is new from the holiday catalogue, as are the two dies used for the trees.
Gold foil is so festive.
Check out the dies HERE - its the peaceful pines photopolymer bundle.

Hope you like it. I may enter this into the JUST ADD INK challenge this week,
I used gold foil so that should count I think, It was on the list ha ha ha.
