Happy tenth birthday Georgia

Its just a few hours before my niece turns 10, and no card to be seen.  My mojo has taken a long long walk, so I turned to a card I had seen recently from Teneale Williams HERE

Teneales card is amazing, and I started with the intention to CASE it entirely, but went to my cupboard and it was almost bare lol,

No silver glimmer paper, no little floral stamps, BUT I did have the blushing bride glimmer paper untouched as well as the stamp set and butterfly die she had used so I set about recreating it as best I could with what I had lol

and the inside.

So pop on over and visit the ever so talented Teneale, you wont be disappointed in her work she is amazing!

Something Eastery.....

Is Eastery a word? lol, I doubt it.
I had a brief for 8 of these cards, it needed a basket with those 3 words on it - Love, faith and hope
It also had to hold a single gold Haighs chocolate Heart.
So where the gold heart is in the photo is where the lady has to glue her chocolate heart in.
I have used brushed gold cardstock from Stampin' up!

The oval dies make up the basket, the super cool scissors from Stampin Up also make the grass. I love those scissors.
The heart punch is from Stampin' up! also.
I did print the words hope and faith as I do not own dies of those words, but used the banners framelits from SU also to die cut them out.

All products except for the Love die and leaf Die are Stampin' Up!

Happy Easter everyone, and for those that are travelling please travel safely.

Easter is coming, Easter is coming...

Its nearly Easter, yep already, seems like yesterday that it was just Christmas.

Today I made some hot cross buns and they were delicious.

I used the recipe from Thermomumma's Facebook page, Make sure you get the one by Lailah Rose as there are two pages with the same name.

I also did a batch of chocolate ones for the boys, and they are in the picture on the right,  I left hubby to do the crosses on those ones, it was a good effort for his first time, but they still taste delicious.

Thats all for today, Happy Baking....

Dum Dum Der Dum.....

Don't you just love weddings?
When 2 people come together promising to share their lives, loves, hopes and dreams TOGETHER, it is a beautiful thing

Then comes the hard work lol, but the good thing about that is it ebbs and flows, sometimes its hard, sometimes its just about perfect, but truly, how can you ever appreciate the perfect if you don't experience some of the hard?

It makes us stronger, it makes us want to try a little harder to get that perfect back because really that is the best feeling in the world.

So today i thought I would share with you a wedding card, something simple and a little easy on the eye.

Its a little hard to see but those cute rings on the bow is die cut from brushed gold cardstock.

To all of you approaching your wedding, congratulations, to all those doing the hard, keep at it, it will be worth it, and to all those in the "perfect" enjoy your bliss

Thanks for stopping by

Zoodles Zoodles Zoodles...

I love pasta, it DOES NOT love me!

Last year in my quest to change my family's food habits I came across a vegetable spiral machine.

I call it a zoodle maker as predominantly I use it with Zucchini
It was purchased at Kmart for $15.

We also use it for carrots and cucumber now for our salads.

So.. tonight I tried a new spaghetti sauce recipe for the thermomix from Sistermixin
you will find it on her blog under Chunky Spag Bol with hidden Veg

It was a pretty nice recipe, it wasn't as red in colour as my normal sauce on the stovetop is, but it was still really delicious. PS I did just add freshly grated parmesan, grating from a block is so much nicer in flavour. I don't think you will be disappointed with this one :)

I have to say I popped the zucchini in the varoma for the last two minutes of the cooking process and it was just perfect by the time I got to plate it up
I use 1 zucchini per person in lieu of pasta.

Beesting anyone???

AM dropping in to share my latest win!

I found a recipe from Mother Hubbards Cupboard for Beesting, yep not the bug variety, but the delish cake style variety.

I live in South Australia, and about an hours drive is the wonderful Hahndorf.  There sells the most fabulous Beesting, but alas, I rarely get there.

So I went on a hunt for a recipe for it, a really decent recipe for that matter.

I stumbled across Mother Hubbards Cupboard, and as a bonus it was a recipe using the thermomix.

It was the closest recipe to the original here in Hahndorf I have found, now I can enjoy at home anytime of the day or night without the extra hours travel lol

Head on over to the site and pop in beesting to find this.  I left the link generic as this lady has a great site of other tasty treats and you may just stumble on another winner just like I did.

Happy baking!

Oh and I am starting a facebook page for all my food adventures, i will post recipes that I have found in my travels that have worked, links to those recipes, and anything else I think pertains to good food.
Check it out and like it here:

Talk about missing in Action....

Hi peeps,

I have definitely been missing in action, do you ever find yourself stuck solely on one hobby or interest for awhile, then something new comes along and BAM! you are all interested in that and the first passion takes a back seat?

Well that is me!  I have stamped and scrapbooked for the past 10 years and while I still love it, I am not all consumed by it like I was.

Sooo... you may ask what has sparked my new interest!
Well....

Its cooking, and not just regular cooking but all cooking.  I did discover thermal cookers about 12 months ago, so I bought a cheap one to see how I would like it.

Turns out i LOVE LOVE LOVE it.   So I upgraded my cheaper machine to the
Thermomix and haven't looked back
NOTE: I don't sell these machines, I just don't have time ha ha ha, but if you are in Adelaide I know a lovely person who can help you out, just message me)

Here is a pic of the machine.  The extra little eye candy to the right of the picture is the new ambassador for thermomix,  pretty easy on the eye huh?  (Oh I meant the machine lol)

I am passionate about cooking my family good nutritious foods.  Without preservatives, colours, and as often as I can no refined sugars, it is amazing what you learn, and I have definitely learnt that I do NOT want all this artificial stuff in my families bodies.  So I set about trying to eliminate it.

It definitely is a work in progress but my little workhorse helps me no end and all the while saving me a whole heap of money in my shopping each week as I no longer buy the ahem "crap"

SO thats what I have been up to. making breads and rolls, curries and sauces, dips and snacks, oh the list is endless.  I may just share more of my cooking adventures on here with you in the future.
For those of you who do have a machine and love it, I have also decided to become an affiliate for Alyce Alexandra - pop on over and have a look at the amazing products she sells in her online store.
I will pop the link in my sidebar also :)
The one thing I do recommend from Alyce Alexandra is the Mackies Jumbo (900g) bread tin, it is amazing and if you pop on over to Facebook THERMOMUMMA (facebook only page, and all capitals if you search, as there are two with the same name, and you want the right one - yep you do) has the best bread recipes on the planet, no fail and works everytime -- YUM!
So thats it from me for today, I will leave you with a picture of my delish bread I made recently
this is the 900g tin but I used the lid to keep it square for lunchboxes!
The Chicken loaf pictured is also made fresh in the thermie, and you can find the link to the most amazing ladies recipes here SKINNYMIXERS - Again I will pop the link on my sidebar :)

Sooo... thats what I have been up to, I will be back with some cards soon I promise, I have a class in a few weeks so def will have 3 cards to share with you so check back.

Have fun in life...
