A WICKED birthday...

I am definitely a fan of Halloween, which is the minority in Australia I know, but I cant help but love getting together with friends, dressing up and enjoying a night of fun!
When I saw the new Howl - o - ween stamp set and matching dies in the catalogue I had to have it
But NOT for halloween
I saw the skull and bones for all things boys
I saw the hat - for all things Harry Potter/wizard etc
I saw a funky owl - you can never have too many owls
I saw the word BOO - for project life especially the early pages I still need to do of Harry.
I see the wand - for all things girly and wizardry.
The spider?  So many things most notably - anything spiderman.

So many uses for one set, and to be able to get matching dies so I didn't have to cut them all out was just icing on the cake lol.

New DSP also from the new holiday catalogue.

Check out that gorgeous black glimmer paper - OMG it is amazing and most perfect on a boys card like this one.

Frosty the Snowman...

I just love the new stamp set and matching framelit set "snow place" from Stampin' up!s new holiday catalogue.

I never usually make cards this small but I think I love this size, and I think I have just found the card I will make for my sons class this year, he is in a double class so will be needing a few this year.
I stamped the main image then restamped the image on scrap paper, hand cut it out and layered it on top of the original stamped image.  How cute is that new Christmas ribbon too?

Deck the Halls...

Happy Friday everyone - yay just got to get through today then its the weekend, and hubby is home for two whole days in a row, so excited about that, teemed up with nice weather and its shaping up to be a potentially wonderful weekend
I thought I would join in with the new mojo challenge this week #416 which was a sketch design.

heres the full card, you can't see all the sparkly goodness in this photo so hence the close ups!

 So sparkly!

Love snowflakes - hopefully one day I may just be able to have a white Christmas, it is definitely on my bucket list.

Holly Jolly altered tag

There are so many sets in Stampin' Up!s new holiday catalogue that I just love, this year more so than any other year, and I think that many have matching dies or punches is another little bonus.
This set is one I purchased called Holly jolly Greetings.
It was super hard to photograph this card, I tried everything lol, so I apologise in advance.

Sahara sand cardstock base, with basic black archival ink used for the sentiment and the snowflake, both which is from the stamp set Holly Jolly Greetings.

A close up of the snowflake.  I inked the snowflake up in versamark, added heat n stick powder, heat set it then tipped dazzling diamonds on top, then heat set once again.
An old technique but a fun one.
Was so hard to pick this glitter up in the photograph.

Tags in a box...

This year I am determined to be super organised.
6 Tags done and dusted - woo hoo.
I made a little pocket to store them all in using the new pillowbox die from Stampin' Up!

I just cut the top off once I had the two sides glued together, then decorated to match the tags.

A Little gold foil behind these trees! Peaceful pines stamp set and matching dies were used on these tags.
I have left a little blank space for scrawling the recipients name.
Gorgeous new ribbon too.  The joy disc is a stamp used from the new seasonal snapshot 2015 project life stamp set.

The DSP is new from the holiday catalogue, as are the two dies used for the trees.
Gold foil is so festive.
Check out the dies HERE - its the peaceful pines photopolymer bundle.

Hope you like it. I may enter this into the JUST ADD INK challenge this week,
I used gold foil so that should count I think, It was on the list ha ha ha.

Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday everyone, it has been beautiful weather here in Adelaide today!  Today we had football presentations for our club, which included lunch and rides for the boys so it was a really nice day!  All that testosterone made me want to head straight for my craft room after the car was unpacked so I thought while I had a few hours before the deadline I would join in with the Mojo Monday challenge.  I really loved this sketch so didn't attempt to change it around at all like I usually do :)
Hmm had my hubby in mind with this sentiment, may just end up posting this one to his workplace!

Items Used:
Cardstock:  Whisper white (Stampin' Up!)
DSP: Adventure Bound stack (retired Stampin' up!), Dreamy 6x6 stack (Heidi Swapp)
Stamp: Oh Happy Day (Technique Tuesday)
Ink:  Basic Gray archival, Crumb cake (both Stampin' Up!)
Ribbon: Whisper white satin (stampin' Up!), twine (retired Stampin' Up!)

A Merry Christmas with Mint macaron

I am totally in love with mint macaron, the colour is totally gorgeous.
It can be totally appropriate for Christmas right?
Yep!
A little bit of music sheet DSP, some mint macaron DSP, some satin ribbon and lace to make it a little more interesting.
These wooden snowflakes are AMAZING!!!!
The inside of the card has been decorated to match the front, simply but still matchy matchy.

Hope you like it.

A little rudolph...

This years DSP (Designer Series Paper) is just the best.  This little cutie is part of that.

I am currently watching my football team in a prelim final, and this little cutie is calming me as my team (Adelaide Crows) is not doing too well at all.

The little snowflakes are from the snow place stamp set.
the MERRY is from the project life stamp set called Seasonal snapshot 2015.
Add in some gold thread, some more DSP cut into a banner, with a layer of vellum cardstock also cut the same size in a banner, a little wooden snowflake, it came together quickly and so very easy.
The image below if you click on it will take you to the store.

Sprinkles of lIfe meets Punch art....

This had to be the second favourite thing I have made this year

Punch art using the build a tree punch from Stampin' Up! that coordinates with the Ronald McDonald House Charity stamp set.

How cute is the basket of apples too?
The scarecrow hat is actually the icecream cone from the stamp set and punch.

Sprinkles of Life

This was my most favourite card I have made this year.

The stamp set is from Stampin' UP! and its called Sprinkles of Life
The stamp set is a charity stamp set - money from each set sold gets donated to the Ronald McDonald House Foundation.
Delish!!

The chocolate is made using the coordinating punch, some choc chip cardstock, then covered in crystal effects and left to set.  Just before set add the little embellishment.
